Racist Remarks Row : Odisha Congress demands PM Modi’s Apology , Sacking Of Giriraj

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee(OPCC)chief Prasad Harichandan Thursday demanded that Prime MinisterNarendra Modi must apologise to the nation for the racist
statement made by Union Minister Giriraj Singh.

While, strongly condemning the statement of the UnionMinister, Harichandan said the prime minister must tender anapology and sack Giriraj Singh from the union council of ministers. Congress took a strong exception to the statementmade by Singh in Hajipur and burnt the effigy of Singh before the state headquarters office of the BJP here..

Harichandan said Giriraj Singh is in the habbit ofmaking controversial statements and speeches in the past, yet hehas been inducted in the council of ministers. “This is a clear indication that the party has fully endorsed the statement of theunion minister”, he said
