Rahul Attacks PM On Kirti Azad’s Suspension

24 December, New Delhi

Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi on suspension of BJP MP Kirti Azad from the BJP, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi today said it showed the variance between his words and actions.

”The PM said, ‘na khaunga na khaane doonga’ (he will end corruption). But when his party MP says there is corruption, the party suspends him,” he said.

“What happened to that slogan,” Gandhi questioned.

He said this on microblogging site Twitter on the issue of BJP suspending Mr Azad yesterday for levelling allegations of irregularities in the DDCA during the tenure of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as its president.
