RBI Sanctions Rs.14,640 Cr Cash Credit Limit To Punjab For Wheat Procurement

Reserve Bank of India has sanctioned Rs 14,640 crore cash credit limit to Punjab for procurement of wheat during this year.

Punjab Government spokesman said in Chandigarh that last year procurement of wheat started on April 1st, but this year procurement will be delayed due to inclement weather.

Food and civil Supplies Minister of Punjab, Adesh Partap Singh said in Chandigarh that government has already made arrangements for procurement of wheat.

State government has a target to procure 125 lakh ton wheat this year.
