SBI to Finance Small Tea growers in Assam

In Assam, State Bank of India will provide finance to small tea growers in the Barak Valley and other parts of state. Official sources said, finance will be provided to all tea growers who have proper basic documents of their existing garden as per Tea Board of India norms.

All the branches of SBI in the tea growing areas of the Assam will start their survey within a specific time. For the first slot bank are taking a target around 3 thousand small tea growers. Assam small tea growers play a major role in easing the unemployment problem and boosting the state’s economy.

Supporting to the Prime Minister’s initiative to develop the North-Eastern Region, the SBI has also planned to help the youths to undertake projects related to the tourism in Assam.
