Several Union Ministers present report card on 100 days of govt

The National Democratic Alliance Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many historic and path breaking initiatives in the first 100 days of its second term. Several Union Ministers are presenting report card on 100 days of the government by holding media interactions in different cities across the country starting today.

The central government has today reiterated that it is committed to achieve Five trillion dollar economy by 2024 and more credit will be made available for corporates, retail borrowers, MSMEs, and small traders in the coming days.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad today on the occasion of NDA government completing 100 days in its second tenure at the centre, Union Minister for Power, Renewable Energy and Skill Development, RK Singh said 70, 000 crore rupees will be released to Public sector banks to facilitate them to lend more loans to the needy.

The Union Minister said the NDA Government has taken several remarkable decisions in the last 100 days which were  not taken in the last 70 years. He said a plethora of initiatives were taken in several fields including agriculture, power, health, social justice and empowerment, health, power among other areas to make the economy stronger and surge ahead to achieve the target of 5 trillion dollar economy.
The minister said revocation of Article 370 would was a historic decision taken by the government and it would usher in development  and create more employment opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir. The minister said Every single rural house will have electricity and clean cooking gas connection by 2022.

He said 1.95 crore houses are proposed to be provided to eligible beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – gramin by 2021-22. The minister said the government want to implement One Nation One Card and to achieve this objective, interstate portability is being implemented in four states, namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra and Gujarat in the first phase and the government wants to implement it across the country.

Stating that doubling farmers’ income is close to the heart of the government, the minister said PM Kisan scheme has been extended to another 3.44 crore farmers in the last 100 days. He said the government has decided to give pension to 5 crore marginal farmers under PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana.

To ensure availability of water, to all across the country, RK Singh said Jal Shakti Ministry has been set up and Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been launched by the government. He said the target is to complete 2.11 lakh Jal Shakti Abhiyan related works in the selected rural blocks by 15th October, this year.

The Union Minister, said the government launched Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana to enable farmers set up solar panels in barren lands to generate solar power. He said the solar power generated by the farmers will be purchased by the government and every farmer can earn an income of 1.25 lakh per acre every year. He said the idea is to supplement the income of farmers and the government will provide assistance to farmers to purchase solar pumps for this purpose.

Speaking about Chandrayaan – 2, the minister said the country tested its capabilities and what the scientists achieved is no small achievement. He asserted that the work in this area will continue till the goal is achieved.

Referring to his Power ministry, RK Singh said the government intends to safeguard the interests of power consumers and therefore proposes to introduce the Bill of Rights of Consumers to redress the grievances within a framework. He said his ministry also wants to remove inefficiencies in power transmission and distribution of power and make power sector more transparent.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawarchand Gehlot has said that there is no such situation as economic recession in the country. Addressing a press conference in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur today to commemorate the completion of 100 days of the second term of the central government, the Union Minister said that the government has taken several steps to strengthen the economy. These steps include merger of public sector banks and expansion of additional credit through banks.

The Union Minister said that through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and several other schemes, the government tried to make the small businessmen, owner of the enterprise. As a result, many employment opportunities have been created in the country. The Union Minister said that during these hundred days, several unprecedented decisions have been taken, including scrapping of the special provisions of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and abrogarion of Article 35-A. Besides, Government has formed Jal Shakti Ministry for water conservation and abolished the practice of triple talaq.

In Shimla, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Thakur held press conference today on the completion of 100 days of NDA-2 government.
The Minister said that Articles 370 and 35A  were abrogated despite NDA government did not have majority in the upper house of Parliament. Similarly, the Modi government provided justice to the muslim women by making a law to hold triple talaq as illegal.

Union Minister of state for shipping and Chemicals, Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya said, “we are moving from ease of doing to ease of living with an aim to make better India or Naya Bharat. Addressing a press conference on completion of 100 days of NDA government in Bhubaneswar today, he said that the government has taken several historic and landmark decisions at unprecedented scale.

He lauded the sensitivity and encouragement steps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for abrogation of Article 370 and 35A with a view to the betterment of life of common people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.

Mandaviya said government has taken step to invest 100 lakhs crore rupees to develop infrastructure within a span of five years. He said government is committed to develop inland waterways from Varanasi-Haladia to Bangladesh.

He added that 36 rivers are identified in this regard and DPR is being sought to initiate the work, if feasible. He further stated that Modi government is giving priority for all round development of all states including Odisha. He said that within 100 days of NDA government, Centre has given 16,000 crores of rupees to Odisha.
