Shahnawaz Receives Threat From IS; Says He Will Dig Its Grave In India

BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain Friday said he has received a threatening letter, which was purportedly sent by terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and he was not scared of such threats.

Addressing reporters, Hussain said a letter was received by his office staff at his residence in the national capital.”I’ve received a threatening letter which had derogatory and threatening content against my party and my statements,” Hussain said.

The BJP leader said the letter has been handed over to North Avenue Police Station for further investigation into the matter. ”We will dig grave of ISIS in India. I’m not going to be scared of such threats,” the BJP leader asserted.

Authorities have sounded extra alert in the nation ahead of the Republic Day celebrations following reported threats of terror attacks in the national capital and some other places, including Mumbai.Suspected terror operatives had been nabbed in Karnataka, Uttarakhand and some other states, reports quoting police and official sources said.
