Sharad Yadav decides not to continue as JD-U chief

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav has decided not to continue for another term.Party general secretary K C Tyagi Monday said Yadav has refused to make any amendments in the party constitution for providing more than three years term for party president.

Yadav was re-elected as party president last time, after amending the party constitution to provide for a three-year term.

“As per the directive of the party president Sharad Yadav, a meeting of the National Council has been called in Delhi on April 10, 2016,” a party statement said.
