Shashi Shekhar Vempati appointed as Chairperson of CBFC

Shashi Shekhar Vempati has been appointed as the Chairperson of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today informed that Mr Vempati will hold office for a period of three years from the date of joining.
Mr Vempati brings with him an extensive experience in media, broadcasting, and public communication. He will succeed Prasoon Joshi as new Chairperson of CBFC.
