Shiv Kumar Sharma, Subha Mudgal, Wadali Brothers to perform during Sep 2 to 4

The third edition of Sahaj Parav-the root music festival with some legendary names from the Indian Music fraternity making appearances this year, will commence on September 2 at Nazrul Manch here.”Sahaj Parav is an urge to go back to the rich cultural diversity of our nation. The festival will once again present the prosperous traditional music showcasing the loaded timber,” the organisers Lopamudra Productions and Dohar today said.Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will inaugurate and perform on September 2 and Subha Mudgal on September 3.Besides being thrilled by powerful performance of Kabir bhajan by Subha Mudgal, Santoor by Shiv Kumar Sharma and Wadali Brothers, Sahaj Yatra featuring Dhak-dhol, Ron Pa, Sree Khol Badya, Bihu, Chou, Baul, Kathakali, Bohurupi, Saontaali and Raibeshe.

This year three-day event would celebrate Birth Centenary year of Baul Saah Abdul Karim and Kolkatans would be mesmerized by the performances of Jamal Uddin Hassan Banna, Anima Mukti Gomes, Sejuti Dey and others from Bangladesh. Music Lovers will also see Maruni Dance (Darjeeling) and Shoshan NritoSahaj Parav is a non-profitable music platform to uphold to the people in general and this generation in particular.
