STF Detains Three Suspected ISI Agents In Kolkata

Kolkata Police Special Task Force (STF) Sunday detained three ISI suspects, all members of a family, from Garden Reach in south Kolkata following a tip off from Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) after arrest of ISI agent Mohammad Eizaz from Meerut Cantonment area.

In a raid, the STF of Kolkata police picked up Md Arshad, Md Asraf Ansari and Md Jahangir from their home at Garden Reach area for their suspected espionage in favour of ISI of Pakistan.

Md Asraf Ansari, a political science student of Harimohan Ghosh College, is said to be the general secretary of Trinamool Congress student wing and Md Jahangir, father of Asraf, is a peon of a central government organisation of ship building company.

It was now known yet whether the police, now interrogating them, arrested them by now.

Sources said following a tip-of from UP police after arrest Mohammand Eizaz alias Mohammad Kalam, a resident of Taramadi Chowk, Irfanabad, Islamabad, Pakistan, from Meerut on Friday, Kolkata police raided and detained the trip suspecting them as ISI agents.
