Sushma listed as global thinker for Twitter diplomacy

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been listed among 100 leading global thinkers for the year 2016 by a leading international magazine for “fashioning a novel brand of Twitter diplomacy”.
“India’s External Affairs Minister @SushmaSwaraj listed among 100 leading global thinkers of 2016 by @ForeignPolicy magazine,” tweeted Syed Akbaruddin, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Among others, Ms Swaraj shares the honour with Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. While Mr Trudeau has been honoured for “designing a humane refugee policy”, the Indonesian President has been selected by the magazine for “forging a shaky path toward historical reckoning”.
