Swine Flu Claims 20 Lives In Himachal Pradesh : Minister Kaul Singh Thakur

Himachal Pradesh Health Minister KaulSingh Thakur Tuesday informed the assembly that the death tolldue to Swine Flu in the state has gone up to 20 with twomore patients succumbing to influenza virus during the last24 hours.

The Minister said a maximum of seven deaths are reportedin Shimla district. He said two patients died in the Indira Gandhi MedicalCollege and Hospital (IGMCH) here last night.

While 13 people died in the IGMCH, seven died in theRajendra Prasad Medical College at Tanda in Kangra district,the Minister said, adding that out of the 302 samplescollected, 79 samples had been tested positive. Fifty patients having symptoms of swine flu have beentreated, he said.
