Swine Flu Death Toll Crosses 1000 across India

Swine flu claimed 34 more lives across the country during last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,075 since January this year.

A Health Ministry official said that the number of H1N1 cases has also increased to around 20,000. With 265 deaths, most number of casualties have been reported from Gujarat, while the toll in Rajasthan has reached 261.

In Madhya Pradesh, the disease has claimed 153 lives so far , the H1N! related death toll reached four in Odisha.

The government has appealed to the people not to panic as all measures are in place to deal with the situation.
