Ten Persons Killed in Untimely Rain Related Incidents In Andhra Pradesh , Telangana

Heavy rains lashed several parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours killing at least ten persons. Five persons were killed in rain related incidents in Telangana while five others died in Kadapa and Kurnool districts in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad Met officials said the persistent upper trough on the coast will bring rain in Telangana and Rayalseema for next 48 hours. Three persons were killed in a wall collapse in Adilabad while two were electrocuted in Warangal.

Two persons died in a wall collapse in Ananthpur while a youth electrocuted in Kadapa and two others died in Kurnool districts. Power supply was also affected in several areas in the two states.

In Hyderabad, normal life has been hit due to heavy rain during the past two days while extensive damage caused to roads and drains. Several low laying areas are also inundated.

Untimely heavy rain destroyed standing crops in hundreds of acres in Telangana and Some parts of Andhra Pradesh. Heavy losses incurred to standing crops like maize, paddy, mango and cotton were damaged.
