Tenangana Police Files Case Against Congress Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Choudhury On Bribary Charges

Telangana police in Khammam district have registered a case against Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Renuka Chowdhary on a bribery complaint made by a tribal woman Bukya Kalavati.

The High Court directed the police to register an FIR after a writ petition filed by the tribal woman alleging harassment. The police have booked case under the SC and ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Local police informed that Kalavati alleged that Renuka Chowdhary received one lakh 10 thousand rupees from her husband late Ramji by making false promise to secure party ticket from Wyra ST Assembly constituency during last general elections.

Kalavati alleged that Ramji died of brain hammerage due to mental trauma after he landed in a debt trap. Police filed a case under sections 420 of the Indian Penal Code and investigating the case.
