Three More NDRF Team To Join Rescue , Relief Operation in Quake Hit Nepal Soon

National Disaster Response Force, NDRF Sunday said that three more teams will be sent to Nepal in wake of the massive earthquake which has claimed over 1911 lives in the Himalayan nation till now.

Talking to media in New Delhi Director General of NDRF O P Singh said, the force has already sent seven teams to Nepal and it’s first priority is to evacuate and rescue people buried under debris.

Singh said, he is visiting Kathmandu today to assess the situation. He said, four NDRF teams are operational in Bihar and it has have rescued around 100 people last night. He added that more teams will be sent to Bihar if required.

The Indian Government had earlier sent four aircrafts with NDRF teams to oversee rescue and relief operations and also set up a 24-hour control room for queries regarding the tragedy.
