Vijay Rupani to be new CM of Gujarat; Deputy CM Nitin Patel

Vijay Rupani will be new Chief Minister of Gujarat while Nitin Patel is to be the Deputy Chief Minister.

They were chosen in a meeting of BJP legislative party in Gandhinagar this evening in the presence of party President Amit Shah.

The process of electing the new leader of State BJP legislative party was held in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Rupani is presently the President of Gujarat Unit of BJP. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel had resigned on Wednesday from the post citing her old age.
