14 killed After Train Hits Car In Jharkhand

At least 14 people, including five children, were killed when the Howrah-Bhopal Express hit a car at an unmanned level crossing in this district of Jharkhand.
The incident occurred last night under Patratu police station when the train hit the car near Bhurkhunda railway station.
All the victims were returning after attending the tonsuring ceremony (mundan) in Rajrappa.Confirming the number of casualties in the incident, the DIG (North Chotanagpur Division), Upendra Kumar said that all the deceased were family members.
Gas cutters were used to cut the roof of the car and bodies were being extricated from the mangled vehicle.
