CBI registers case on DD Official in AP

The Central Bureau of Investigation( CBI) today registered a case against N.V.Hanumantha Rao, Assistant Station Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Vijayawada for demanding a bribe of Rs.1.50 lakh for releasing cheques towards remuneration to the technicians of a TV Serial.
According to CBI Police Superintedent R.Gopala Krishna Rao here today, the complainant was a TV Serial Producer and organizing Technicians and Coordinators for production of a TV Serial.
Hanumantha Rao demanded a bribe of Rs.1.50 lakh from him for releasing cheques towards remuneration of the technicians of the said TV serial.
As the complainant was not willing to pay bribe as demanded by Asst Station Director, he filed a complaint with CBI, Visakhapatnam for taking necessary legal action.The official was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
