Home Ministry Has Nothing To Do With Row Over Shakuntala Gamlin: Center

Clarifying the controversy over appointment of senior IAS officer Shakuntala Gamlin as Delhi’s acting Chief Secretary, Union Home Ministry said, it has nothing to do with it.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, Union Home Secretary L C Goyal said, the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister are competent enough to handle the situation.

Goyal was responding to questions over Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s objection to the appointment of Gamlin by LG Najeeb Jung as acting Chief Secretary.
