Salman Khan Likely To Attend Sister Arpita’s Wedding Reception In Mandi

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is likely to be attend sister Aripta’s wedding reception at Gymkhana club in Mandi town in this hill state.Earlier, it was stated that the state had declared Mr Khan a state guest and he would be provided a helicopter ride to attend this reception. However that stands cancelled now.

Mr Khan would attend his sister’s reception tomorrow Arpita got married to former union minister Sukh Ram grandson and son of Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj and Animal housbandary minister Anil Sharma’s Son Aayush Sharma six months ago at Mumbai.

Excited on her first visit, Arpita tweeted on May 22 Looking forward to going bk to Mandi (HP) as Mrs Arpita Khan Sharma. Media report said here today that Mr Khan coming here with entire khan family excluding his father Salim Khan.

New bride and bridegroom and other family members likely to arrive at Mandi today.Initially, it was learnt that state government will provide a helicopter ride to Salman Khan to attend the reception but later, Anil Sharma was conveyed the inability to extend such a hospitality to the Bollywood superstar, fearing controversies.

Though Sharma is reported to have offered to meet the expenses of hiring the government chopper but was left with no option but to have alternate arrangements, which Salman Khan reportedly made on his own, say insiders.

Around 14,000 to 15,000 people, which includes all residents of Mandi town will attend reception.
SP (Mandi) Mohit Chawla said, “We have made all necessary arrangements as the event is going to attract a huge crowd. Since it being a private affair, the police have nothing to do except to take care of law and order or traffic mobility on Kullu-Manali National Highway due to tourists season.”
