MP : Chouhan Writes To SIT To Probe TV Scribe’s Death
05 July, Bhopal
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Sunday said he is writing a letter to SIT to inquire into death of Akshay Singh, Aaj Tak scribe, who was investigating the Vyapam scam in the state.
The (SIT) formed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court to monitor the progress of probe by the Special Task Force (STF) into the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) is being requested to inquire into the sudden death of the scribe, Chouhan told mediapersons at his residence.
“I am very much sad over the death of Aksahy Singh, a journalist of Aaj Tak channel, who came to take interview.
Since he came to cover the death of a woman, which was allegedly linked with the MPPEB, I think it would be appropriate that SIT looks into the matter,” Chouhan said.
The Chief Minister said Singh was taken to Gujarat’s Dahod for treatment. Earlier, he was being treated at government and private hospitals. The post-mortem was conducted be a panel of doctors and the report was yet to be received.
