Six Persons Killed In Explosion In Cracker Factory In Visakhapatnam District

Six persons including three women died on the spot and more than 10 seriously injured in a cracker manufacturing unit blast in Gokulapadu village in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh Sunday evening.

The exact number of people present in the cracker unit at the time of the accident is not known.

The Fire Department has brought the situation under control as soon as they received the information by rushing to the spot. The police have extended all help in shifting the injured to government hospitals in Nakkapalli and Visakhapatnam.

While the exact cause of the mishap is yet to be ascertained, a case has been registered and investigation is on according to the Police.
