ASI Sent To 14 Days’ Judicial Custody For Allegedly Raping A woman

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Delhi Police was sent today to 14 days’ judicial custody for allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman. The accused has been identified as Jasveer Singh, the ASI.
Sources in the police said the incident occurred on Thursday when the ASI was under the influence of alcohol.
He allegedly raped the woman at gunpoint. The policeman is posted at Punjabi Bagh police station in West Delhi.
The medical report given by the concerned authorities has confirmed the rape. The police is also looking at the footage of the CCTV camera installed near the crime spot.
A case has been registered by the police under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
