Assam Reports First H1N1 Case As Swaine Flu Death Toll Crosses 260 in Rajasthan

The death toll due to swine flu in Rajasthan rose to 261 with four more casualties reported on saturday.
State level Task force on swine flu has asked doctors to take special care if a person with, diabetes , cancer, high blood pressure or cardiac problem tests positive for H1N1.
In Assam, the first swine flu case has been reported .
Confirming this, Health Commissioner Manish Thakur said that one laboratory technician has been tested positive for swine flu at Lahowal in Dibrugarh district last evening.
He urged people not to panic as health officials are maintaining a close watch on this issue. Official sources said that sufficient stock of personal protective equipment and diagnostic facilities are available at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and the Regional Medical Research Centre in Dibrugarh to conduct lab tests on blood samples of suspected patients.
