Ban On Sale Of Cows, Calves In View Of Ganesh Festival

Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma has instructed all the district police to stop the sale of cows and calves at the sale points and shandies in the districts itself in view of Ganesh festival.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, C.V. Anand, Wednesday had called for a coordination meeting with Muslim and Hindu Elders from all Police Stations Areas of Cyberabad in view of the Bakrid and Ganesh Festivities falling on September 24 and 25 and Immersion on September 27 this year, aftera period of 33 years.

In the meeting, Mr Anand has informed that this year the DGP has instructed all the district SPs to stop the sale of Cows and Calves at the sale points and shandies in the districts itself and also to start interstate and inter district border check posts to stop transportation.

In Cyberabad, 21 check posts have been started on important junctions and highways which will be headed by an SI and men in 3 shifts, 24 hours till Bakrid, according to a release.
