Beef Row : Food Habits Can Not Be Restricted Says Union Minister Kiren Rijiju

Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju Wednesday y clarified that he was misquoted on his reaction to comments by his ministerial colleague Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on eating of beef.

Rijiju was quoted by media as saying that one should not be touchy about one’s practices and no one can stop him from eating beef.

Rijiju said that he had merely said India is a secular country and food habits cannot be restricted. He had also said religious faiths and sentiments must be respected.
