BJP to launch “Mahasgram” against the Naveen Govt. in Odisha from January 6
Odisha unit of BJP on Tuesday announced to launch a Mahasangram
against the ‘corrupt’ Naveen Patnaik led BJD government in the state
from January six next.
Senior BJP leader and national executive committee member Bijoy
Mohapatra said party’s national president Amit Shah, who is coming to
Odisha for the first time on a two-day visit beginning January six,
would launch the ‘Mahasangram’ at a public meeting here on the first
day of his visit.
Mohapatra said the state government was involved in a series of scams
like mine scam, chit fund and land scam and Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik was ‘heading’ the scams.’The BJD government has lost its moral
right to remain in power and the BJP wants to launch the campaign to
come to power,’ he said.
The BJP leader said during the last 15 year rule of the BJD, scandals
had occurred one after another and the government was committing
mistake while trying to cover it up.But the BJP wanted to bring a
change by bringing all the issues before the people he said.
The BJP, he said, would make the various scams as the main issues of
the Mahasangram and decided to launch the campaign in all the
districts and constituencies to educate the people about it.
He said in the present political scenario a vacuum had been created
due to the involvement of the BJD government in large scale
corruptions and the BJP wanted to fill up the gap by dislodging the
government.
Mohapatra reiterated his demand for a CBI inquiry into the land scam
and the mining scam.
