BJP To Project Its Leader For HP Assy Polls:Sharma

20 November, Hamirpur

All India Secretary of BJP Srikant Sharma Friday said the party would project its leader for the coming Vidhan sabha elections in the state well in advance.

People of the state were already in the knowing who was their leader and the situation would become more clear in days to come, he said.

Talking to reporters here, he said the BJP-led party government at the centre had fulfilled its election promise of one rank, one pension to ex-servicemen of the state as its was sentimental issue for the party rather than a political one.

He said those opposing the announcement were anti ex-servicemen and their main agenda was just to oppose the government for nothing.

Mr Sharma, who was here to take part in the meeting of the district unit of party and to know about the party preparations for the next PRI elections in the state, said the party activists would win the coming PRI elections with an ease. However, he asked them not to be dormant in their preparations and work uniteldy for winning the polls. The press conference was also attended by Prem Kumar Dhumal, former chief Minister, Sat Pal Satti, state party Chief and Randhir Sharma, MLA.

Mr said people of the state were highly upset with the Chief Minister, and his family and wanted to oust his dynastic rule from the state. He said Mr Singh had lost faith of people and was feeling frustrated and demoralized.

And that was why, Congress would lose the coming PRI elections and thereafter, Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.

He said the present Congress leadership was a divided house and that was the reason that the Chief Minister and his rivals were rushing to meet their party bosses to New Delhi time and again. Moreover, AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, who used to claim that he was for the eradication of corruption, was supporting Vir Bhadra Singh, who was facing corruption charges.

He said since it was a serious issue, Gandhi should tell the people what was going behind the curtain between his family and Singh.
