BSNL To Offer Free WiFi In Mandya District

The Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to offer free WiFi at Brindavan Gardens in Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir near Srirangapatnam and other selected tourist locations in Mandya district under Prime Minister Narendra Modis ambitious Digital India Programme.
Talking to newspersons here, C.Anand Devaprasad, District Manager(BSNL-Mandya) said the BSNL would offer free WiFi to visitors at popular tourist destinations soon.
Anand said the company had already begun providing high-speedFibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) internet services to all gram panchayats in the district.
We are also offering national-roaming and night-calling at free of costfor landline phones, he said, adding, mobile towers were installed at 144 places throughout the district.
It may be noted that the BSNL has 1.51 lakh mobile phone customers and 12,011 landline users in the district. The Brindavan Gardens, known for its symmetric design, has innumerable fountains and enthuses at least three lakh tourists every month.
