Center To Take Steps Global Branding of Nabakalebar Festival of Lord jagannath , Puri : Minister Mahesh Sharma

Union Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma on Saturday said that the Centre will provide all assistance to the Nabakalebar festival in Puri town of Odisha.

He also said that all measures will be taken for global branding of the festival.

The Minister said that there will be no dearth of funds for the Nabakalebar festival. He said the Centre has already sanctioned 50 crore rupees for the festival.

He said the Central government will also supplement budgetary support as per the requirements of the festival.

He added that the Tourism Ministry, in coordination with the petroleum ministry, will observe the Nabakalebar festival as an international tourism event this year. The Minster also launched Centre’s new scheme ‘Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation’ in Odisha. The scheme is aimed at development of tourist places in the country and benefiting the tourists.
