Venkaiah Lays Foundation of Rs.125 Cr. National Kamadhenu Animal Breeding Center At Chintaladeevi, Andhra Pradesh

Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for National Kamadhenu Animal Breeding Centre at Chintaladeevi of Kondapur Mandal in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday evening. The Centre has already released 25 crore rupees for the Rs. 250 crore project.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naidu said that the old glory of Buckingham Canal will be revived soon, in order to improve inland waterways in the country. The Buckingham Canal is a 796 km-long fresh water navigation canal, running parallel to the Coromandel Coast of South India, from Kakinada in East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh to Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu.
On Polavaram Project, the Union Minister said the expected progress could not be achieved due to the mistakes of the previous government. However, he assured the NDA government will complete the Polavaram Project. Mr. Venkaiah Naidu also reviewed the progress of Dugarajapatnam and Ramayapatnam Ports while announcing that Rs. 500 cores have been sanctioned for the construction of national highway stretch between Nellore and Badvel.
