Congress Hopes PM Modi Will Take Up Boundary , Incursion Issues With Chinese President Jinping

Congress has expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take up the boundary and incursion issues with President of China Xi Jinping during his China visit.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi Thursday , party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, the Prime Minister should categorically tell the Chinese President that India will not make any compromise on its territorial integrity.
Surjewala hoped that both countries will continue to maintain friendly relations in the future as well.
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up the issue of construction of dams on the Brahmaputra River with Beijing during his visit to China.
In a press release issued in Guwahati today, Gogoi said that there have been serious concerns about the construction of dams by China over the Brahmaputra River that would adversely impact downstream flows.
Gogoi stressed that Modi must convey India’s concerns to Beijing.
