Congress Takes A Swipe At PM Modi Over 26/11 Revelation By Former Pak DG

04 August, New Delhi

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Manish Tewary took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying “where is the PM’s high flown rhetoric that terror and talks do not go hand in hand?”

According to reports, the recent revelations by former Pakistan Director General Tariq Khosa that Pakistan was behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks have put pressure on the Modi Government to take strong action.

Tewary said that the whole world knows it was Pakistan who were the architects of the 26/11 attacks and yet Indian government is relying on having talks.

“Ever since the Indo-Pak talks at Ufa, the shellings are still a regular occurrence. There have been 12 provocations in the past eight days. What is now left to talk with Pakistan?” he questioned.

The Congress leader said that the PM is answerable to the nation. “How can the PM want to continue with the NSA level talks after this revelation? He has to answer to the nation now. He needs to speak now rather than retreating into a shell.”

Earlier today, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut stressed that talks with Pakistan are futile and they should not be called ‘friends’ anymore after this revelation and the Indian government’s stance needs to toughen more.
