Court Orders FIR Against Mulayam For Allegedly Threatening IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur
16 September, Lucknow
In Uttar Pradesh a local court in Lucknow today ordered police to file an FIR against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening an IG-rank officer Amitabh Thakur.
It also ordered the police to probe the incident that triggered a massive row. Thakur had approached the court after Uttar Pradesh police had rejected his plea for an FIR against Yadav for allegedly threatening him on phone with dire consequences, saying the allegations have not been substantiated.
The district court observed that suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has primary facie evidence showing Yadav threatening the police officer.
