Delhi votes Saturday amid air of uncertainty

The stage is set for polling in Delhi to form a new Government tomorrow –Saturday for 70 seats in the Assembly elections amid air of uncertainty as pre-poll surveys predict different sets of result.
Over 1.33 crore electorate will decide the fate of 673 candidates in the fray. Counting would be taken up on Feb 10.
Polling will take place at 12,177 polling stations, of which 714 have been identified as critical. Of these, 191 are highly critical.
The Burari constituency in North Delhi has a maximum of 18 candidates while the Ambedkar Nagar seat in South Delhi has the lowest number of contenders at four.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for tomorrow’s polls. Delhi Metro will start operations at 4 AM on February 7, the day of polling for Delhi Assembly elections. Trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes till 5.30 AM on all its lines.
The frequency will increase and trains will start running as per the normal schedule after 5.30 AM.The Election Commission has been carrying out an awareness campaign targeting people commuting on the metro with an aim to encourage them to vote in the Assembly polls. Announcements in this regard are being made in the trains as well as on station premises.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is also scrolling voter awareness messages on display screens installed in train coaches.
