DissentShould Not Hamper Democratic Proceeding: Sumitra Mahajan

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan Monday said that ruling and opposition are good in a democracy but the opponent should not do propoganda.

Addressing a function in New Delhi, Ms. Mahajan said the dissent should not disturb the democratic proceeding.

Her comments came amid the Congress and other opposition parties’ plan to corner the NDA government on a range of issues including Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh during the Monsoon Session of Parliament beginning tomorrow- Tuesday.
