Donkey Fair Concludes In Ujjain

Hundreds of donkeys, horses and mules brought from faraway places were traded at a five-day ‘Gadha Mela’ — an annual event that concluded in this ancient temple town on the occasion of Kartik Poornima Wednesday.

The most expensive donkey was sold for Rs 7,700 while the costliest horse and the costliest mare were sold for Rs 85,000and Rs 65,000 respectively.

Nearly 3,000 donkeys from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat were brought for being traded at the fair.
