Federer, Raonic In Finals Of Brisbane International

Roger Federer will face Milos Raonic in the finals of Brisbane International after beating Austria’s Dominic Thiem in the semi-final today.
Defending champion Federer had a 6-1, 6-4 win over eighth-seeded Dominic Thiem, while Raonic beat local hope Bernard Tomic 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) in the earlier semifinal.
Federer, who will be contesting his third consecutive Brisbane final and is one victory away from an 89th ATP title, hailed his “best match” of the tournament. “I really thought I hit the ball very well,” Federer said. “I’m very excited to be back in the final again… It’s a great start to the season and I’m very happy,” he added.
