H1N1 Cases on Rise in Gujarat and Rajasthan

With six more deaths due to Swine Flu, the toll has reached 251 in Rajasthan . In Gujarat, swine flu has claimed eight more lives, taking the total number of deaths to 247 since January last .

Three deaths were reported from Ahmedabad district, while two deaths have been reported from Mehsana district.

Health Department sources said that 181 new cases of Swine Flu were reported across the state, taking the total number of cases to 3, 950 till date.

The maximum of 73 cases have been reported from Ahmedabad district alone, while Surat district has reported 31 new cases during last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, state Government has claimed that more 177 patients have been cured and discharged from the hospitals yesterday. Thus, the total number of patients who have been cured of swine flu till now has reached 2, 518.
