Heavy Rainfall Predicted In Odisha, AP, Telangana, K’taka, W.Bengal In Next 24 Hrs

Friday’s well marked low pressure area over west central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh¬ and south Odisha coast has concentrated into a Depression today morning over north-west and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal.
It is currently centred at about 200 km south of Puri.
The system would move north-westwards and cross Odisha coast between Gopalpur and Puri by tonight.
Under its influence thundershowers would occur at isolated places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Karnataka and Gangetic West Bengal in the next 24 hours.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at a few places over Odisha and at isolated places over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra and Telangana.
The Cyclone Warning Centre in Visakhapatnam said the southwest monsoon advanced into the remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, covering the entire State yesterday. The monsoon has been active in coastal Andhra.
Rain or thundershowers will occur at most places in Coastal AP and at a few places in Rayalaseema.
Strong winds speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph would prevail along and off Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts.
Fishermen along and off north Andhra, south Odisha coasts are advised not to venture into the sea.
Cautionary signal number 3 is being kept hoisted in all major ports in Andhra Praesh.
