Hockey World League: Indian Men Beat Poland; Women Lose To New Zealand

Indian Men’s Team beat Poland 3-Nil , in the Hockey World League Semi-Finals at Antwerp, Belgium Tuesday evening.

The goal-scorers were Yuvraj Walmiki, Sardar Singh and Devender Walmiki. In their opening game, the Men’s Hockey team had defeated France 3-2. The Indian Men’s have already booked their place for next year’s Rio Olympics.

In the women’s section of the tournament, India lost to higher-ranked New Zealand by a 0-5 margin Tuesday.

Earlier, in their first fixture, the women’s team lost to hosts Belgium by a solitary goal.
