India has Potential Of Double Digit Growth : Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Saturday said that India has potential of double digit growth. Talking to media in Bhopal, he said that a new energy has been infused in the country during the last one year.
Referring to the Central Statistics Office’s recent report, he said that the manufacturing sector has posted more than seven per cent growth. It shows that the Industries are again rejuvenating.
Jaitley said that the central government is decisive and its policies are transparent. He said that the Centre- States relations have improved and the image of the country in the world has brightened.
He said that the country will move further towards development in the next year.
When asked about the Land Acquisition ordinance, Finance minister said that the government’s policy and intent are in favour of country’s development.
One House of Parliament has passed the Land Acquisition Bill while some people are creating hurdles in another House. He said that the government has adopted the alternative route through Joint Committee.
Jaitley said that three legislations will be brought after the constitutional amendment on Goods and Services Tax-GST. The whole country will become one market and there will be uniform rate of tax after the GST come into existence.
Earlier, Arun Jaitley inaugurated the New Bank Note Paper Line unit of 6000 Metric Ton capacity at Security Paper Mill in Hoshangabad.
He also flagged off the first consignment of one thousand rupees Bank Note paper made indigenously to Currency Note Press Nasik. Hoshangabad’s New Paper Line unit is part of the indigenisation of the Bank Note paper under taken by Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited.
The project has been completed at a cost of 495 crore rupees within the time schedule. This is a start-of-the-art plant with capability for incorporation of the advanced security features into the Bank Note paper.
It is capable of manufacturing all denominations of Bank Note paper including one thousand rupees.Jaitley also inaugurated the composite logistics hub at Pawarkheda of Hoshangabad and addressed a farmer rally.
