JD(U) Faces Rebellion Over Tie Up With RJD

The ruling JD(U) in Bihar is facing rebellion over the poll tie-up with Lalu Prasad-led RJD ahead of the ensuing legislative council elections to 24 seats from local bodies.

Former MP and senior JD(U) leader Ranjan Prasad Yadav has dissociated himself from the party’s alliance with RJD saying Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has joined hands with Lalu Prasad for political gains.

“Poll tie-up with RJD is not acceptable to me as it has been thrust upon the party by the chief minister who has compromised with principles for the sake of power,” Yadav has said in a three page letter to Kumar.
