Kejriwal-Jung Power Tussle : BJP Urges President To Intervene To Resolve Crisis In Delhi Govt.

21 May, New Delhi

BJP Thursday urged President Pranab Mukherjee to intervene in the power tussle between Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over transfer and posting of bureaucrats.

A party delegation led by Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta met Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan this afternoon and alleged that the tussle has created a constitutional crisis.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Gupta said governance has come to a standstill in the national capital as Aam Aadmi Party government is busy in power struggle ignoring peoples’ problems.
He said he apprised Mukherjee of the issues including appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries, move to restrict the media and fake degree of Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar.

Gupta also demanded that the AAP government should bring a white paper on the allegation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia that there was a transfer-posting industry in Delhi which has been stopped.
