Left Front Seeks WB Governor’s Intervention To Redress Patato Growers Problem

Opposition Left Front Legislators in West Bengal sought the Governor’s intervention to redress the problems of potato growers.
A delegation of the Left Legislators met Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi in Kolkata Wednesday and urged him to take steps to prevent distress sell of potatoes by the farmers.
They alleged that at least 20 potato growers committed suicide incurring heavy losses at different parts of the State. The potato production in the state has reached all time high in the state this year.
