LS Adjourned For Day After Obituary References

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day Tuesday after making obituary references to its former members.

As soon as the House met on the opening day of the monsoon session, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan referred to the former members who passed away during the intervening period. Later, the House was adjourned in memory of the sitting member Dileep Singh Bhuria.

The Rajya Sabha saw heated words between the government and the opposition over corruption issues related to Lalit Modi controversy. The House was adjourned till 12 PM following uproar over Lalit Modi issue.
