Madhya Pradesh Becomes India’s First State To Organise Online DPCs

Madhya Pradesh is going to become India’s first state to have organised online meetings of departmental promotion committees (DPCs).

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission developed comprehensive software for this. Six DPCs were performed including three of Finance and Rural Industries Departments.

According to mppost.com, online, DPCs would reduce time taken in procedural preparations. With this, the online DPCs would resolve many issues. It will standardise the process uniformly, Increase transparency, help planning and monitoring of organising DPCs, keep updated gradation lists of various designation, quicken the decision making.

The Online DPCs would generate minutes of the proceedings. It would also help in management of the Gradation lists of various cadres. Submitting userfriendly format of proposal for DPC, including information regarding court cases, would be easier.

Processing of the proposals would help address queries. Minutes of DPCs could be well-documented. Very soon, the DPC minutes will also be available online.

The software was initialised in 39 departments, which holds DPC in the Chairmanship of Members of MPPSC. For initialisation the departments have entered necessary details. So far 39 departments have entered necessary details of 872of designations
