Odisha: NAAC Visits VSSIT For Evaluaion

A seven-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Technology (VSSIT), Burla, for four days, starting from January 13, for critical evaluation of the premier institute.

The team, led by Prof. H.P. Khincha, former Professor IISC, Banaglore, was divided into two groups and evaluated the performance of various departments and laboratories of the university.

The team members interacted with VSSUT Vice-Chancellor Dr. E Saibaba Reddy, professors, students and non-teaching staff on curricular activities, learning process, research, consultancy, infrastructure, students support and progression, governance, innovation and about the strength, weakness and opportunities available in the university.

During the visit, they admired the awards won by faculty members, students and staff in various fields. They also conducted alumni and parent meetings.An official of the institute said the committee is expected to submit its report to Human Resources Development (HRD) department within a month and the gradation is expected to be known thereafter.
