Maharashtra : BJP issues show cause notice to MLA Raj Purohit over sting operation

BJP on Saturday issued show cause notice to its MLA Raj Purohit in Maharashtra over the sting operation of him.

The notice says that since June 25, 2015 all the TV news channels are airing a CD in which the leader is seen commenting over the party in an objectionable manner. This action of the leader is violating the discipline of the party. Therefore the BJP has demanded an explanation in writing within three days from the issuance of the notice else he will have to face the disciplinary action taken by the party.

A private news channel had disclosed an alleged sting operation of Maharashtra BJP MLA Raj Purohit.

Raj Purohit is seen commenting on various issues about his party and its leadership. He has allegedly criticised the party’s policy and its leadership while talking in the CD.

A new row has erupted after the release of this CD and opposition parties like Congress and NCP have gained momentum in cornering BJP. Taking the cognizance of the issue Maharashtra BJP has finally issued the notice to Raj Purohit.

However Purohit has denied all the charges and claimed that its a fake CD and the voice which can be heard is not his voice and it is tampered. He has also demanded to probe this issue and forensic testing of the CD.
